arch 25, 2025 marks the 92nd anniversary of the Creglingen pogrom. To mark this occasion, the Creglingen Jewish Museum Foundation is organizing a concert with the Berlin theologian and musician Olaf Ruhl on Monday, 24 March 2025 at 19:00.
Olaf Ruhl is no stranger to the Jewish Museum Creglingen. He already performed in 2018 with the program “Singt ojf Jiddisch! – Yiddish songs & stories” in Creglingen to great acclaim. Olaf Ruhl will present his program ‚Everything is the Jews‘ fault!‘ to ‚Ver vet blaybn – got vet blaybn! A German and about 20 Yiddish songs about the Shoah.”.  The topic of the persecution and murder of the Jews in the so-called “Third Reich” appears, directly or indirectly, in many Yiddish songs. There are traditional songs and those where the poets and composers are well known; there are songs where at least the melodies are familiar and more modern songs that only very few people can sing along to; songs that tell of suffering and resistance or are full of irony.

The concert was originally announced in the Creglingen calendar of events for March 25, but had to be brought forward by one day due to a clash of dates.
